A glass facade design engineered to soften and diffuse natural light throughout the interior.

The Huahin Glass and Aluminium project set out to enhance the building’s appearance with a modern, professional, and striking facade design that reflects the client’s own identity in aluminum and glass work. Outside In designed a facade that optimizes natural light diffusion into the interior, creating a soft, well-balanced lighting effect while maintaining privacy and reinforcing a confident brand image.

Design Concept
The facade design incorporates visual cues from the client’s own expertise in aluminum and glass work, alongside the company logo, translating brand identity directly into the building’s exterior. To achieve a modern, professional aesthetic, polycarbonate panels were selected as the primary material for their ability to diffuse natural light softly throughout the interior. By carefully adjusting light transmission and opacity, the facade design delivers a comfortable brightness level indoors, while the ground floor retains an open, airy feel that keeps the space welcoming and spacious.

Materials & Functionality
Beyond its visual role, this facade design protects the building structure from weather-related damage, moisture, and corrosion, extending its lifespan while enhancing both durability and appearance. Polycarbonate panels installed with concealed joints create a seamless exterior, hiding structural elements from view while shielding the interior from harmful UV rays. The panels also provide strong thermal insulation, reducing heat transfer and improving indoor comfort year-round.

Sustainability & Efficiency
This facade design also supports meaningful energy savings: translucent polycarbonate panels diffuse natural light effectively, reducing the need for artificial lighting and heating and contributing to a comfortable, energy-efficient interior suited to a range of uses. The panels are also three times lighter than traditional rain screen wall systems, making installation faster and easier – one of several reasons translucent polycarbonate remains an ideal choice for facade design that prioritizes aesthetics, energy efficiency, and weather resistance.
